| Competency Statement |
Upon successful completion of the Aqua Instructor Course individuals will:
1. be eligible for F.I.S.A.F. accreditation 2.have the ability to assess aquatic environments for safety, suitable class style, music selection and equipment 3. have the ability to screen participants , and to recognise individuals with special needs and be able to teach safe and effective classes to a wide range of participants in a range of environments 4. have the ability to cue and sequence exercises in a variety of situations 5.have the ability to act as professionally as an Aquatic Instructor and promote water exercise to all levels of the community. |
| Assessment Procedures |
The participant will be given a Take Home Theory Examination plus a short Theory In Class Examination on the last day of class. A combined grade of 78% is required to recieve a PASS.
The student will also be expected to teach a safe and effective 30 minute class to complete the requirements of the Certification. Each participant must have a valid CPR certification of be in the process of gaining one. |
